What I tried:
"I Don't Want to Work", Brown Sugar Milk Tea, Matcha Mochi Waffle, Regular Waffle and a Japanese Souffle Cake.
Instagrammable drinks that definitely set them apart from the ever growing bubble tea market.
They do not use artificial colors or flavoring.
3 different types of tapioca that you can add to any drink.
The snacks that they offer besides the bubble teas are also of high quality and delicious.
The food and drinks will take some time once you have ordered. Because everything is handcrafted to order, the drinks and snacks take about 15 minutes or so to get to you.
The Japanese souffle! Oh my goodness. This was extremely soft and fluffy. I wished I had tried the matcha one as well.
Any of the layered bubble teas. Not too sweet and very flavorful.
Friendly and very accommodating.
The gentleman that works there, he is great! He makes the pancakes and was very nice.
The two bubble tea's that we had gotten were very flavorful but not sweet, which is how we like it. The brown sugar milk tea had a strong brown sugar taste and the brown sugar tapioca was also very soft and chewy. Great basic drink to get if you want something simple.
The "I Don’t Want to Work" drink was great. This is made with Oolong Tea, Milk and Butterfly Pea Boba. Very subtle in taste and not too sweet at all. The boba itself had a great texture and chew to it.
The Matcha and regular mochi was delicious. It had the texture of a mochi which was sticky and chewy but also subtle in taste. The matcha flavor came through and was bitter but to a good point. Great afternoon snack to go with one of their drinks.
The Japanese Souffle Pancakes are to die for. Super soft, fluffy and sweet. I did not mind the sweetness of this as everything else I had ordered wasn’t sweet. I ordered the Classic Bubble Tea flavoured with Bobbii pancake and it was topped with boba and when you cut inside, there are more boba.
One thing you will notice here is that a lot of the items they have are matcha based. I would give it all a try as they are using quality matcha and hand whipping them into drinks and snacks.
Small shop but it had plenty of seats when we were there.
Great minimalist set up and décor.
When I find myself back in Richmond, I will definitely visit this store again! I will need to try all the matcha items on the menu.
