Matcha everything. It is one of my favorite flavors and I am absolutely elated that these type of Japanese café's and soft serve bars are being brought over to Toronto.
Top quality matcha which gives you top quality desserts and drinks.
Located in Square One mall or downtown Toronto conveniently for everyone.
Since everything on the menu involves matcha, you really cannot go wrong by ordering anything. The matcha soft serve and hot drinks are a great way to try the matcha in its purest form without the additional toppings. So give the O Matcha and the Tsujiri Soft Cream a try before anything else.
They are also known for their parfaits, so give any one of those a try as well.
All the tea available and used at Tsujiri is imported from Japan and because of this, the quality of their products are high.
The service I received at the Square One location was excellent. The cashier was very helpful helping me decide what I wanted as it was my first time there. She guided me through the menu and let me know what was popular.
Friendly, professional and helpful.
The matcha soft serve was absolutely delicious. The matcha taste comes through very strongly and because of this it was not very sweet but just perfect and smooth. It has a great texture and very creamy. Perfect for a hot day but also anything really.
The Sakura Parfait was unique and very delicious. From the bottom to the top of the parfait you will find crunchy roasted brown rice, a thick layer of red bean, matcha soft serve, a chestnut, mochi and a cherry blossom cookie to top it off. The parfait is sweet, bitter, chewy, cold; an array of textures and flavors. Not too sweet but also not too bitter. Just perfect in my opinion.
A lot of times the taste of matcha especially strong ones can come across bitter if you are not used to it. Because of this, their desserts and drinks have different matcha levels you can choose from so that you can ease your way into the dishes.
It is a small shop with no seats available in it. Since it is in Square One mall and next to other eateries, there are communal seating outside the shop.
The shop is beautiful with wooden décor and Japanese writings. The accents are black that contrast the green of all the desserts that are displayed.
It is very distinguishable with Japan and their dessert shops. Minimalist yet cozy and inviting.
I do enjoy Tsujiri a lot. I will definitely be back to try more when I can! Give it a try and you will not be disappointed!
