What I tried:
Coconut Butter Latte, Sakura Latte and 24K Gold Matcha Soft Serve.
Pro:
Wonderful concept and theme for a restaurant/café.
Located in the ever changing Kensington Market in Toronto.
So many unique things on the menu, you will need to visit more than once.
Con:
Nothing bad to say!

Must Try:
The 24K Gold soft serve is what attracted me to this restaurant. Give it a try!
They also have classic breakfast, Japanese street food and specialty drinks that keep you coming back for more.

Service:
The service was average. Nothing bad to note but also nothing above and beyond.
They were polite and transactional.

Food:
The Sakura Latte was divine. I did not expect the flavor to be so subtle and delicious. It was a light pink visually and the aroma of Sakura and strawberries were evident.
My friend ordered the Coconut Butter Latte and I have to say it was rich and yummy. Although you can smell the aroma of butter and coconut, it wasn’t too heavy or artery clogging. Just the right balance.
The 24k gold ice cream was notably so good! At first I thought this was going to be another fad that would lack quality in taste but I was pleasantly surprised. The soft serve comes in two flavors; matcha or vanilla. I opted for the matcha flavor. Once you choose your flavor you can decide to decorate your cone with half cover of gold ($12) or full coverage ($14). I went with the full coverage as it was only $2 more. The matcha soft serve was smooth and very creamy and the gold sheets add a very slight metallic taste to it. It stained your lips for awhile and makes you look like you have gold for lipstick.

Atmosphere:
Located in the trendy and unique area of Kensington Market, this Film Café is in the middle of it all.
It is a bright and airy restaurant great for cooling off in the summer and staying cozy in the winter.
A lot of seating available with big wooden tables, excellent for working on or having brunch with a large group.
The walls are decorated with film and movie memorabilia. There is a projector at the back that plays silent movies on a wall.
At the back, there is a beautiful patio with wooden tables and chair as well as big umbrellas. We sat out there as it was the summer and the lighting was best for taking photos.

Overall:
The 24k gold soft serve is something I would get as a treat and not every time I visited this Film Café. Fortunately, they have other amazing items on their menu that can carry the name and make myself and others come back for more. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed!!!
